Is this the same d*rby/d*rbyshire that struggles to maintain adequate public services, and often has amongst the lowest rated emergency service provision?

Also they could revitalise the sh!thole city centre with seven mil.

That does seem a very high risk strategy. Why would a public authority be prepared to step in as lender of last resort if professional lenders won't? Also, there must be rules limiting the circumstances in which a company in administration can borrow money.

Where would it even put them in the list of creditors if d*rby did go bust? How are d*rby intending to repay?

Very questionable use of public funds on the face of it.

There now appears to be talk of either d*rby City Council or d*rbyshire County Council, I'm not sure which, lending d*rby the 7M they need to be able to demonstrate to the EFL that they are able to complete the season, and thus avoid the club having to sell players.

If I were a resident within the boundaries of those councils I would be very happy that the council is doing such a fantastic job of servicing community needs that they feel able to make risky loans to distressed businesses that are already proposing to pay a small fraction back of loans they've taken previously, but wondering why my surplus taxes aren't being returned to me.
