I was just about to back England at 5/2 and the c*nt hit 6 4 6 to send the odds tumbling.
What an utter c*nt.

Like a ginger caped crusader.

Don't see a problem. Sending convicts to Australia is a return to good old British values.

Turns out Ben was standing up for a gay man who was being attacked by someone with a bottle. So he was the hero all along. What a relief that that "true" version of the story is out.

So the first game of the Ashes tour starts a week on Saturday. Presumably they fly out early next week, so has there been any announcement on what's happening with Stokes (presumably not travelling unless the police say he's not going to be charged) or who's going to be replacing him?

16 man squad announced at the back end of September.  Not sure there is any need for a specific pronouncement about who is replacing whom?  Name your team, move on.

Root, Anderson, Bairstow, Ball, Ballance, Broad, Cook, Crane, Foakes, Malan, Moeen, Overton, Stokes, Stoneman, Vince, Woakes.

Nash seems like a good signing for Notts on the face of it.  Covers a problem position as an opener and adds experience Notts have lost recently with Taylor, Lumb and Read having gone.

Good start to the Ashes tour: Finn comes home without bowling a ball.

Presumably means that, assuming Stokes isn't there, Overton and Ball are competing for the last bowling spot. (I'm thinking Bairstow @ 6, Moeen 7, then Woakes, Anderson and Broad.)

Assuming Moeen is fit that would make sense, Mark Wood would be the next option surely but he's struggling to be fit at this point

If he'd been fit, they'd surely have picked him ahead of Finn in the first place?

You would think so, it seems that Wood is travelling with the Lions in an attempt to prove his fitness.

At least it looks like they've got some problems as well

Balls' injury makes Overton inevitable unless they chicken out and decide to beef up the batting (Bairstow gives up the gloves or Ballance comes in at 6).
