Thing is, all Bond films are sh!t. They're for kids, not grown men. Inspector Gadget has more sophisticated production values, seriously.

Really,   don't bother.  Craigs Casino Royale was citizennn kane in comparison to skyfall.

That's 3 of us, then.

I seriously recommend Beasts of the Southern Wild. Made on a shoestring, with actors plucked off the streets (a la City of God) it is, to borrow a phrase of my grandmother's, f*cking good. Best film I've seen for two years.

Look who's back.
I don't like workaholics. Don't f*cking trust them. Why are they working? I don't trust busy c*nts. That's how wars start: busy f*ckers.

Beasts of the southern Wild was the biggest pile of sh!t ever. (A slight exaggeration I can think of worse).  The girl was great, but the film meanders all over the place and the only discernible thing I got out of it was that people are happier when they are drunk and that the establishment is unkind to poor people.  I was quite frankly bored out of my arse and that is uncommon.

Obviously you are on drugs you mulchy artsy fart.  And I bet your favourite player is Jonathan Greening.

Yes people are happier when they're drunk. But the real thrust of the story is captured by the best line in the film:

"There ain't no point sitting about and crying about stuff like a bunch of pussies."

Also Obama likes it.

Does Obama like Skyfall? I may start basing the films I watch on Obama's opinion.

No he was asked at a press conference when he was at the UN one day and confirmed he thinks it's unequivocal crap.

Come on chaps!
Casino Royale wasn't a patch on Skyfall. Skyfall has got rid of that annoying "fragmentary" film action. There's a terrific bad guy, believable sub-plots with Bond & M & Bond with the newly introduced director. Even the cliche'd introduction of Albert Finney as the forlock tugging old retainer was amusingly done.
I still maintain that any of you that haven't yet seen Skyfall, don't be put off by these over-picky moaners.
Nuff said; I'll get mi coat!

Interesting use of believable. On an unrelated note I am a fleeing nigerian general, who has a great fortune tied up in the country. All I need is to borrow £50,000 in order to pay bribes to have these funds unfrozen. If you could help you would be repaid tenfold. Do you want to pay by cheque or bank transfer?

It's a generous offer, but there seems more in that for Ingo, than for me....

who's blowing Ingo?  Is it Gay week already?  Bit early don't you think, it's usually one week after tit monday which I think is usually in May.

Getting back to earlier thread, City of God was/is a brilliant film, Beasts of The Southern Wild isn't.  Comparing them together is a bit silly.   Speaking of silly and I am ashamed to admit it.  I managed to catch a free screening of Battleship and it is immensely stupid but rather watchable.  I didn't hate it, in fact I found myself watching it all the way through.  It made me want to get the missus a chicken burrito.  Although classed with Transformers it is far far better than that, as the only redeeming feature in those films were Megan Fox.
